Stoves with a 5kW heat output are by far the most popular stoves in the UK and throughout Europe. At Stove Yard Cheshire's Holmes Chapel showroom, we have one of the widest selections of 5kW wood burning and multi fuel stoves on display anywhere in the North West.
Stoves with a nominal 5kW heat output are designed to provide sufficient heat, plus a degree of flexibility, so that they can be safely used in a typical UK living space. They will usually feature a versatile heat range starting around 3kW and going up to 7kW – depending upon the size of the fuel load and how the air controls are set.
You can also choose between a radiant stove, which is usually best for installing within a fireplace opening in a chimney breast, or a stove which convects its heat. Convection stoves generally have significantly reduced safe distances to combustible materials and tend to work best in free-standing installations, where they can safely and quickly warm the surrounding air space to keep the far end of the room almost as warm as in front of the stove.
If you're looking for a 5kW stove – or if you're not entirely sure what output you need – Stove Yard Cheshire's friendly team of stove experts can provide you with all the information you need. We also offer a choice of some 150 great 5kW stoves from the best of British and European stove makers.
