HWAM 2630C WITH SIDE GLASS AND LOG STORE

There are two variations of this great Hwam 2630 contemporary wood burning stove. The Hwam 2630C with door-fronted log store is the one that features the classic cast iron door with large glass area and the additional side windows. With its compact semi circular footprint and excellent minimum distances to combustable materials the Hwam 2630C will fit snugly against a wall without eating into valuable floor space to give you a tremendous 180º view of the fire wherever you are in the room. At 1 metre high it also has the presence to create a striking focal point, especially in a small to medium sized living space in a modern low energy home. The Hwam 2630C will also be very economical to run being A+ rated with an excellent tested efficiency of 80.3%.

In fact, the Hwam 2630C has just about everything you could possibly want from a Scandinavian stove. For a start it's Defra approved so that you can burn wood legally in a Smoke Control Area (most urban areas). It's also been tested to the rigorous German DIBt room seal standard to ensure that when in operation there's absolutely no chance of smoke or carbon monoxide leakage. This and its direct external air supply capability will ensure that the Hwam 2630C will work safely even when it is subject to potential adverse air pressure conditions created by MVHR systems or other forms of mechanical air extraction such as cooker hoods.

The Hwam 2630C will deliver a nominal heat output of 4.5kW as well as a very practical tested heat range from a lowly 2.0kW right up to a generous 6kW to cope with the worst of the winter cold. This all depends on the size of the fuel load but it does mean that you'll be able to maximise the use of your Hwam 2630C for a much greater part of the year, for example when you only need some gentle heat on a cool summer evening. This kind of heat flexibility means that the Hwam 2630C would also make it the perfect companion to a heat pump. Heat pumps are great at delivering low temperature background warmth but they can never compete when it comes to the bone-warming blast that's much needed when you come in from the freezing cold.

Hwam's single discreet slider control, combined with the AutoPilot system which comes as standard, allows you to precisely control the 2630C's heat with the minimum user input. The tried and tested Autopilot will do most of the work for you to automatically provide the correct amount of important primary air that's needed for quicker starting fires and for cleaner combustion right up to the end of the burn cycle. All you have to do is use the slider control to manage the flame height and heat output. Hwam also give you the option to upgrade the 2630C with their patented SmartControl (only available in build stage) where the room temperature can be set and gentle reminders to refuel the stove are sounded. You'll also never need to worry about how to achieve the optimum and most eco-friendly performance  — the SmartControl electronics simply takes care of all of this.

As you'd expect from one of the best stove makers in the world the build quality on the Hwam 2630C is outstanding. Premium quality materials and attention to detail are in evidence everywhere from the thick steel bodywork and heavy duty fine cast iron door to the highly engineered vermiculite lined fire chamber and robust stainless steel stay cool handle. The well balanced fire chamber door incorporates Hwam's unique door closing mechanism to ensure that there's a tight fitting room seal every time but with the minimum of effort and the big gently curved window, which is larger than most, is air washed from the top and both sides for more effective cleaning. A larger lower pressed steel door, which you simply push to open, carries through the clean modern lines and this conceals the ash pan compartment with its separate ash pan as well as some handy storage space.
