You get a 2.5kW to 7.0kW tested heat range (depending on fuel load) to allow you to provide some pleasant warmth on colder spring and autumn evenings without resorting to full-on central heating as well as much welcome additional heat on bitter winter days when the central heating sometimes can hardly make a dent in the cold. To control all of this heat and the County 5's impressive flames there are two separate responsive slider controls for quicker starts and precise combustion air management. Powerful air wash jets help keep the gently arched window clear.

As well as reducing emissions, installation flexibility has also been key to the development of the new County 5. For example it has clever integral heat shields to help deliver lower safe minimum distances to combustible materials and the elegantly splayed 125mm high legs ensure that the County 5's hearth temperature are safe for installation on a 12 mm decorative hearth (subject to building regulations). Build quality of the Country 5 is excellent throughout with a fine cast iron door with robust hinges and thick premium quality steel bodywork. There's an all-over longer lasting cast iron fire chamber base with a sturdy cast iron fire grate.
